Our Goals
The Mt. Pleasant Heritage House's goals are to promote global history, culture, and experiences.
Our objectives are:
To preserve and promote the history and culture of African Americans, the African diaspora, and other diverse populations in a nurturing environment through its collection of artifacts, fine art, and memorabilia.
To strengthen community members’ quality of life and socioeconomic status through the cultural arts curriculum and programs.
To serve as a historical and cultural reference & resource center for individuals, schools, civic organizations, and other groups whose interest rests on cultural arts and cultural history
We also strive to promote through educational programs, public seminars, events, virtual programs, and exhibits, an appreciation for culture, literacy, and global awareness.
